If you are modding GTA V Enhanced Edition with LSPDFR or RAGE Plugin Hook (RPH), you may encounter an issue where RPH blocks the game from loading due to DirectStorage compatibility checks.
The skipdscheck file acts as a flag that tells RAGE Plugin Hook to bypass its initial DirectStorage verification check so you can load straight into the game with your mod setup.
What is the skipdscheck File?
You do not need to download a pre-made file or acquire a complex mod archive. skipdscheck is simply a blank dummy file placed in your main game folder.

.txt, though extensionless is preferred)

How to Create skipDSCheck Yourself
Rather than searching for direct download links across third-party websites, you can create the file yourself in under 30 seconds:
1.Open your GTA V main directory:Locate your root folder.
Navigate to where your game is installed (where GTA5_Enhanced.exe or GTA5.exe and RAGEPluginHook.exe reside).
2.Create a new text document:
Right-click inside an empty space in the folder, choose New > Text Document, and name it skipdscheck.
3.Check file extensions:
Ensure Windows File Explorer has File name extensions toggled on (under the View tab). If the file displays as skipdscheck.txt, rename it to simply skipdscheck and remove the .txt extension when prompted.
4.Leave it blank:
Do not add any text inside. Save and close.

Essential Companion: DirectStorageFix
While the skipdscheck dummy file bypasses RPH’s preliminary check, GTA V Enhanced Edition can still crash or lock modded files while running under DirectStorage. To prevent crashes and restore script logging for LSPDFR, you should also install the DirectStorageFix ASI loader plugin.
